About New York Festivals
Celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2007, New York Festivals (NYF) oversees and runs five international awards competitions: Film & Video, Television Programming & Promotions, Radio Programming and Promotions, Interactive & Alternative Media, and Advertising (Design, Print, Television & Radio).
Entries to each of these competitions are judged in the United States and around the world by panels of peers in their respective industries. Gold, Silver and Bronze WorldMedals are awarded to the highest scoring entries in each category. Blue ribbon panels of judges and advisors select the Grand Awards for each competition.
Judging of entries in the international Film & Video awards competition is held from September through November, when the Finalists are announced. The panel of judges and advisors meets in New York City to select the Grand Award winners the same week that the awards are presented at a black-tie dinner in January.
