The winners of the 12th Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards were revealed on 18th November. The festival annually celebrates the best corporate films and documentaries from the world’s biggest industries, including Tourism. In the Tourism Film category, 11 productions were honoured with Gold and Silver Dolphin Trophies and Finalist Certificates.
The tourism videos “Prayer” (Japan), “The Perfect Proposal” (Greece) and “Linz ist Linz” (Austria) were acclaimed by the international jury with Gold awards. “Lithuania. Discover Colours You Never Knew Existed” (Lithuania), “Much more than just Denmark” (Denmark) and “Seek Different” (Australia), received Silver awards.
Finalist certificates also have been assigned to “So klingt Bayern - Erwecke die Sinne!” (Germany), “Vilnius: amazing wherever you think it is” (Lithuania), “South Australia: hear it, touch it, see it to believe it” (Australia), “The road awaits” (Mexico) and “Extremadura, everything you can imagine, where you wouldn’t imagine it: The movie” (Spain).
This year’s edition was marked by 888 submissions from 42 countries. After passing the approval of a renowned International Jury, 205 productions were selected to receive a shortlist nomination, and 144 were distinguished with prestigious Dolphin Trophies.
In addition to trophies, the winners receive other desirable collector’s pieces, the unique diplomas designed in cooperation with “der Graphischen”, the well-known Viennese art school.
Recognizing the Tourism Industry’s potential regarding corporate communication, the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards has been, since 2010, a member of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT) and part of the biggest competition for Travel Video Marketing – the CIFFT Circuit.
As a result, all the Tourism Films Category’s winners have access to the CIFFT Ranking List, the leading global resource for benchmarking creativity and effectiveness in Tourism Communication, which establishes the World’s Best Tourism Films of the year in six thematic categories.
The World’s Tourism Film Awards will officially announce the winners in December, endorsed by UNWTO (World Tourism Organization), ETC (European Travel Commission), CTO (Caribbean Tourism Organization), and CATA (Centro America Tourism Association).
Created in 1989, the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT) brings together the World’s Best Tourism Film Festivals from four continents at the most prestigious awards and recognition initiative in Travel Video Marketing Industry - the CIFFT Circuit.
In partnership with the endorsers UNWTO (World Tourism Organization), ETC (European Travel Commission), CTO (Caribbean Tourism Organization), and CATA (Centro America Tourism Association), CIFFT works to encourage tourism destinations to achieve excellence in promoting their products, services, and locations using video.
