Hospitality Innovation: Meet the new initiative Terres CHECK-IN International Hospitality Film Awards
by CIFFT on 21 February 2022

Terres CHECK-IN International Hospitality Film Awards is a joint initiative by Terres Landscape & Travel Communication and the Catalan foundations CETT, Climent Guitart, and Jordi Comas Matamala.

The proposal of the Terres CHECK-IN International Hospitality Film Awards is to create a strong community and connect the actors that integrate the hospitality industry internationally, generating a space of knowledge, exchange, and awareness of communication trends that can be transferable to the sector to improve the experience at a time when the audiovisual tourism has achieved a point of great maturity.

Terres CHECK-IN also aims to be a world reference in the Audiovisual Hospitality sector and become a showcase for the marketing trends of organizations that form the tourism, hospitality, and gastronomy industries.

“Our company is fully committed to opening spaces and creating products that may transform the two industries we are engaged to, Tourism and Communication. Terres CHECK-IN makes us very proud. We have been working on it for four years. We have the support of institutions and some of the main players of the Spanish Tourism Industry. I strongly think that Terres CHECK-IN will be a good opportunity to reinforce the network among creators, communication agencies and enterprises.”, said Santi Valldepérez, CEO of Terres Landscape & Travel Communication.

The Terres CHECK-IN International Hospitality Film Awards will have an itinerant format between the headquarters of the three foundations. This year’s edition will be held on September 6th in Barcelona, at the Hotel Alimara, being hosted by the CETT Foundation.

This first edition will combine an award ceremony and professional recognition with a training and professional aspect. The event marks the beginning of professional activities at the Terres Travel Festival, which will take place between September 8th and 9th, 2022, in Tortosa.

It is expected that the Terres CHECK-IN will have a hybrid format,  matching face-to-face and streaming activities.

Cinematographic Tourism

Barcelona has been a privileged setting for countless films and series. Many national and international directors have found in its streets an ideal location to situate their stories. We will rediscover Barcelona through a route in which guests will visit several emblematic places where the most important scenes of different films and series were recorded.
