Synopsis

Every morning, all year long, whether it’s summer or winter, whether it’s hot, cold or rainy, a good-natured group of people of all ages gather at one of the entrances to San Lorenzo Beach, which they affectionately call “la rampina” (the small ramp). This daily activity, heroic for many, is what gives them energy for the rest of the day. When it’s time to get into the water, Bach’s music lifts us to a sort of wholesome ecstasy. “Living a good life… is a science”. Pure Gijonomy.

Goals of the film

We’ve moved away from a traditional tourism communication. According to surveys, what is most highlighted by those visiting Gijón are its inhabitants: noble, hospitable, cheerful and charismatic. In this documentary-style film, we let the inhabitants of Gijón bare themselves (quite literally, it might be said) and express themselves naturally and spontaneously, in their own element. We want you to come and get to know us to share in our way of enjoying life.

Target Group

The film is aimed at all potential visitors, whether they’re tourists or here on business, so they may discover the personality and secrets of Gijon’s wonderful inhabitants, a sample of how we live life in Gijón. But it is also a tribute to the Gijón people themselves. This is what we’re like and we’re proud of it.
