The SWISS Safety Video follows a young Swiss protagonist returning from New York, daydreaming through alpine landscapes, lakeside summers, winding roads, and family moments in Zurich and Geneva. Safety instructions are seamlessly woven into the narrative through graphics, pictograms, and cabin crew interactions. Shot entirely in real imagery with cinematic lighting, the film blends aviation and destination storytelling, evoking Switzerland’s beauty, precision, and emotional familiarity.
With its new Safety Video, Swiss International Air Lines combines mandatory safety instructions with cinematic storytelling and real-world imagery. The objective was to create a safety video that not only ensures passenger attention and comprehension but also conveys a sense of Swiss culture and destination appeal. By weaving safety instructions into a narrative journey through Switzerland, the film elevates a regulatory format into an engaging and memorable brand experience.
Primary audiences are SWISS travellers who encounter the film in-flight and are receptive to destination-driven storytelling during travel. Secondary audiences include tourism boards, cultural stakeholders and luxury hospitality partners for whom Switzerland represents a high-value tourism ecosystem. From a safety perspective, the film is designed to improve comprehension and retention across a global passenger base, while simultaneously promoting Switzerland as a premium travel destination.
