Cannes, September 29, 2026 – Tourism entries delivered one of the strongest showings of this year's Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards, competing alongside some of the world's biggest corporate names, including Aramco, Tiffany & Co., McDonald's, Deloitte and Volkswagen. The 17th edition of the festival concluded this week on the French Riviera, with 182 productions honored across a record 63 categories, 23 of them from tourism brands.
Switzerland Tourism emerged as the standout name of the year, collecting Gold Dolphins across four categories — Destination Regions and Countries, Tourism Products and Tourism Services — making it the most decorated destination brand of the 2026 edition.
In the Destinations Cities category, Gold Dolphins went to Film Dunedin (New Zealand) and the Vienna Tourist Board (Austria), with Silver Dolphins awarded to Tourism Linz (Austria) and Ottawa Tourism (Canada).
In Destinations Regions, Visit Porto and North of Portugal (Portugal) joined Switzerland Tourism in securing Gold Dolphins, while Silver Dolphins went to TYO Inc. (Japan), Travel Alberta (Canada), and Košice Region Tourism (Slovakia).
The highly competitive Destinations Countries category saw Gold Dolphins go to Visit Qatar, Morocco's national tourism office (ONMT) and Switzerland Tourism, with Silver Dolphins awarded to Colombia's Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and Visit Sweden.
Tourism Products put the spotlight on experiences and cultural assets, with Gold Dolphins awarded to Austria Tourism, Turismo de Portugal and Switzerland Tourism, and Silver Dolphins going to Turismo Rías Baixas (Spain), the Catalan Tourism Board (Spain) and INDEN-YA (Japan).
Finally, in Tourism Services, Switzerland Tourism received the Gold Dolphin, while Bensaude Hotels (Portugal) and SWISS (Switzerland) received Silver Dolphins.
As a member of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT), the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards contribute to the CIFFT Rankings, the global benchmark for the World's Best Tourism Films. This year's results underline not only the creative strength of tourism communication but also its growing influence on shaping international perceptions of destinations.
All entries were evaluated by an international jury of experts from 33 countries, bringing together professionals from advertising, film, television, production, marketing and corporate communication.
