The CIFFT Rankings are the exclusive reference that honors the most creative, innovative, and effective tourism videos.
Rankings allow destinations, trade, creative agencies, and audiovisual producers to measure the impact of their work in promoting a particular tourist destination, product, or service.
The CIFFT Rankings have been running since 1989. In 2020, it was divided into five thematic Rank Lists to ensure that participants competed with their peers.
In a single space, we gathered the winner lists of the World's Best Tourism Film Festivals to establish the annual rankings of the world audiovisual competition for tourism promotion. The CIFFT Rank Lists are:
- Tourism Destination City The world's most awarded promos and commercials about Cities, Municipalities, Villages, or Local Destinations for creativity based on award performance.
- Tourism Destination Region The world's most awarded promos and commercials about Regions, Counties, States, Communities, or Islands for creativity based on award performance.
- Tourism Destination Country The world's most awarded promos and commercials about Countries for creativity based on award performance.
- Tourism Products The world's most awarded promotional and commercials about promoting a tourist experience in a particular destination for creativity based on award performance.
- Tourism Services The world's most awarded promotional and commercials about promoting any service provided to tourists for creativity based on award performance.
The CIFFT Rankings are created with the Best Tourism Film Festivals worldwide for the industry to ensure the relevance of the rankings.
The CIFFT Rankings reflect the results of the festivals that take place in that same year. However, sometimes some videos start to participate in the last festivals of the year, and the points achieved are only reflected in the rankings of the following year.
All the winners of the International Competition of the Member Festivals related to tourism promotion are eligible for the five CIFFT Rank Lists.
The rating is expressed on a scale from 4 to 18. The film receives points according to the award obtained at each festival:
|Best Production (Best Promotional, Best Commercial, Best Video Campaign)||14|
|Arts & Craft||5|
|Best National Video||5|
- In case a film receives more than one award, only the highest award will be considered for the Rankings.
- The awards obtained at the CIFFT candidate festivals do not count for the CIFFT Rankings.
- Regarding the National Competition in some of the festival members, only the Grand Prix Winner will be considered for the CIFFT Rankings.
- The CIFFT Rankings will be updated and published on our website, as authorized by each entrant, the week after the Award Ceremony of each festival.
