Belgrade, September 8, 2026 — The SILKFEST International Tour & Eco Film Festival has announced the winners of its 2026 edition, honoring 19 productions from 14 countries across five thematic categories. The Serbian award is part of the CIFFT Circuit, the global competition that will define the World's Best Tourism Films of the Year.

The SILKFEST's top honor, the Grand Prix, was awarded to “So Turkish, Go Turkish” (Türkiye), produced by Go Türkiye, the country's Tourism Promotion and Development Agency. The film offers a glimpse of authentic Turkish moments, from Hagia Sophia and the hot air balloons of Cappadocia to Aegean seafood tables and ferry rides along the Bosphorus, capturing the essence of the country far beyond visual beauty. The production also took 1st place in the Tourism Destinations Country category.

This year's competition was organized around five thematic categories — Tourism Destinations Country, Tourism Destinations Region, Tourism Destinations City, Tourism Products, and Tourism Services — alongside a series of special distinctions, including the White Acacia awards for craft achievements such as directing, screenplay, photography, and sound design.

Switzerland Tourism emerged as the edition's most decorated entrant, earning four honors across multiple categories, including a category win in Tourism Services with “Bees and Friends: Hotels for Truly Every Need” and a White Acacia for Best Screenplay with “Beautiful Autumn.” Other leading brands and organizations recognized this year include the Catalan Tourist Board, honored in Tourism Products for “Catalonia, the Best Gastronomy in the World” and awarded the White Acacia for Best Sound Design; Tourism Malaysia and Tourism Center of Portugal, both recognized in the Destinations categories; and the City of Elbląg, Poland, whose “Echoes of the Legend. Elbląg” topped the Tourism Destinations City category.

The edition also spotlighted a strong showing from destination marketing organizations and cultural institutions worldwide. Kaunas IN Film Office (Lithuania) was recognized for “All Roads Lead to Kaunas,” while Bensaude Hotels (Portugal) earned honors for “The Island” in the Tourism Services category. The Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan was awarded for “Whispers of Wisdom,” and the Slovenian Tourist Board was honored for “Welcome to Feel Good Towns of Slovenia” with the Best Production – Best Video Campaign award. Film Dunedin (New Zealand) received the White Acacia for Best Directing for “Dunedin – Auditioning Now,” and the Tourist Board of Supetar, Croatia, was given a Special Recognition of the Jury for “Supetar – Unlock Your Experience.”

All entries were evaluated by an international jury of experts, who assessed the films on storytelling, creativity, innovation, and their effectiveness in promoting tourism.

As part of the CIFFT Circuit, SILKFEST winners also take a step closer to the most prestigious accolade in tourism audiovisual communication, the title of World's Best Tourism Films of the Year, awarded at the World Tourism Film Awards. By ranking the most-awarded tourism films worldwide, the CIFFT Rankings set the gold standard for how destinations and tourism brands tell their stories.
